I Love My Husband and Want to be a Better Wife to Him

No matter how things get at home, I always make sure to make Ariel feel loved and appreciated and he does the same for me.

Being home during a pandemic has been more challenging than I had anticipated it to be. Our normal day-to- day life has shifted and as a result, we are now together 24-7.

I am a firm believer that a good marriage can always be better if you just know how to do so. Once I found myself “just doing it” or just going through the everyday motions of being with someone all day, everyday, I started feeling like I was taking it for granted, or just got real comfortable; and I felt the same coming from him.

I decided to be kinder to Ariel, to communicate with him in a much more loving way and to just be considerate of him. After all, I am committed to him, there is no denying that. It is important to be mindful of the fact that you married the love of your life. Being stuck in the same house for so long together, it is easy forget and appreciate your spouse.

Marriage is not just a ride, not for me. We each have to do our part to keep each other happy. Ariel knows how much I love romance. I love love; I love being I love and I love feeling loved. The funny thing is that Valentines Day is never really a thing for us. We rarely do Valentines Day, and usually I am ok with it. But I think that because of the pandemic, this one hit a little differently.

Ariel surprised me with this kind gesture of gifting me this book from Hooray Studios. I know it may not much, but since he is not at all your typical romantic, taking the time to find and put this gift together, was truly special. It described our marriage very well and my love tank was absolutely full. Small gestures like these make the world of a difference in keeping your marriage a bliss.

Marriage really is a lot of work but like anything, it is worth every struggle. The soul love, the connection that we have brings me so much happiness. I am so grateful for Ariel and appreciate the time and energy he put into this gift. I know it is not something he enjoys but the fact that he did it for me, means so much.
